We have some exciting wines that just arrived four out of these five new wines are under $15 but offer tastes that are comparable to wine that is twice that value.  Poiema Pinot is new to our collection and is easily capable to be used for many different occasions.

Matchboomatchbook-musque-chardonnayk Giguiere Musque
Dunnigan Hills

” A 100% unoaked Chardonnay made entirely from the Musque Clone No. 809, this is an aromatic and perfumy wine loaded with muscat-like flavors (hence the name of the clone). Big orange, honey, wildflower, and some nutty notes pervade the nose. The body backs those characteristics up and is quite sweet, nothing like the buttery, applesaucy Chardonnays you’re likely accustomed to.”

Malbec Reserva

“Classic lush Malbec flavors of blackberry, mocha, and earth are enhanced by a touch of oak. This has a very balanced palate between fruit and tannin, making it a wonderful everyday wine. We like to pair it with all kinds of meats, beans, and root vegetables.”

Mendocino County

90 Points

“Somehow this wine is bold, full bodied and super ripe—yet balanced, sleek and structured. Tart, vibrant fruit aromas like raspberry and cranberry are followed by rich, almost sweet strawberry and red cherry flavors. A layer of fine tannins adds grip to the mouth feel, and firm acidity keeps everything from being heavy.”

paul buisseDomaine Paul Buisse Touraine
Sauvignon Blanc

“Exotic fruits and peach aromatics lead to a bright yet delicate palate that is fruit forward with balanced acidity and a seamless finish. Ideal for appetizers, this crisp, fresh Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect wine to open your palate, serving as a great match for soft cheeses — particularly goat cheesewhich is a specialty of the Loire region — salads, shellfish and seafood.”

91 Points – Wilford Wong

A truly wonderful Sauvignon Blanc, the 2014 Domaine Paul Buisse Touraine is pure, fresh and fine. Very clear color; mineral and dried citrus in the nose, some fine fragrant grassiness, excellent depth and freshness; medium bodied, frisky on the palate; dry, fine acidity, well balanced; dried grapefruit peel in the flavors; medium finish, pleasing, crisp and textured in the aftertaste.

Pinot Noir
Santa Luca Highlands

“Perfectly nuanced balance of fruit, structure and acidity make this 2012 vintage shine. Aromas of black cherry and cola with floral notes lead to a lush palate of ripe cherry, pomegranate, dark fruit, spice and vanilla. This wine drinks beautifully by itself, and is delightfully food friendly.”
